Joining a Conference Session

Introduction

This article will review the process of joining a conference session from within the Virtual Conference Hall. This process assumes that you are an approved TPN subscriber, have registered for your conference, and have received your access link. 

Virtual Conference Hall

The access link which was emailed to you is a unique link associated with your name and email address. It will take you to a special website that we'll call the "Virtual Conference Hall". This is like the lobby of a hotel: you will return to it before and after individual sessions and use the hall to gain access to the next session. If you lose the page for any reason, you can always use your join link to re-enter the hall.

Joining a Session

To join a virtual session, click on the banner at the top of the Hall that says "Join a Session." You will be presented with the agenda and allowed to select the session you wish to enter. To enter the session, you must click "Join Now." This will take you to a new window and open the attendee tracking and registration page. In order to receive credit, you MUST enter your first name, last name, and email address that matched your initial event registration. Once complete, click "Register" and you will land on the confirmation page. At this point - please click the text link that says "Join this Webinar" in order to enter the webinar.  If you are joining prior to the conference start time - please DO NOT close out of the window. You will be placed into the waiting room and automatically entered into the webinar at the time it starts. 

You must stay in the webinar for the duration of the session in order to receive full credit. Please note that you are being tracked and will not be eligible for CE credit if you arrive more than 15 minutes late or leave prior to the completion of the event. 

Once the session concludes, you will be emailed an evaluation form. It will take 24 hours for this form to arrive. Please be patient - we are confirming your attendance. When you receive the digital evaluation, please fill out all of the requested information. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL IS ENTERED CORRECTLY! Your certificate will be automatically emailed to the email address provided on the evaluation form. It is important that your information is entered without error to reduce complications with your certificate. Your certificates should arrive within 10 minutes of evaluation completion and will be stored within your TPN profile. 

To get back to the main conference hall at the end of a session, simply close out of the window you are in, and the conference hall should still remain open in another tab. If you cannot find the tab, or you accidentally closed out of the tab, please use the access link that you received to enter the conference.
